Shawn, Oct 28 Save the Date!

Shawn Nicola (aka Shawn Timothy Gerety, Sean Gerety, Sean Nicola) is scheduled to appear in a Buck County (PA) court to face criminal charges on October 28.  Prosecuting attorneys and detectives for the Commonwealth and Bucks Co. have issued subpoenas for witnesses to appear at this hearing on 10/28 at 2pm in the courtroom of Judge Seaman at 4001 Durham Road, Doylestown, PA 16902.  Others would also be welcome to attend and view the hearing. The criminal docket MJ-07302-CR-0000117-2020 and Court Summary describes multiple charges Mr Gerety Nicola will be facing.  

This criminal prosecution by Bucks Co. follows other actions against the BuildTrend conspirators from other jurisdictions and victims including:

The District Attorney of Bucks County (PA) filed criminal charges against Shawn Nicola (aka Shawn Timothy Gerety, Sean Gerety, Sean Nicola, etc) in March 2020.  See Docket MJ-07302-CR-0000117-2020 and Court Summary for the multiple charges including theft by deception, deceptive business practices and criminal attempt - receives advance payment for services and failure to perform.  He appears to have posted $100,000 bail on March 31.

Shawn's initial hearing before Honorable Jean Seaman has been rescheduled reapeatedly since May and it seems the most recent delays are due to Gerety/Nicola's attorney, rather than COVID-19.  We'll post the new date and location when available as we believe many victims of these repeat scammers would like to attend.
