Shawn registers a second PA contractor entity

Shawn T. Gerety registered TREND Investment Group Inc. (PA116781) as a new Pennsylvania registered home improvement contractor in May 2015.  TREND Investment Group appears to be a successor to BuildTREND Construction LLC (PA073348) which has been registered since October 2010.

One can look up the PA registrations directly here:
http://hicsearch.attorneygeneral.gov/

Shawn indicates no petitions for bankruptcy, no civil judgments related to home improvement transactions and no record of criminal offenses for either business.  Read the rest of this blog (and note Shawn's 2010 bankruptcy, ongoing civil complaints related to business practices and his VP's record of criminal theft by deception). Judge for yourself if Shawn Gerety has made accurate representations to the Attorney General and the consumer public with his business registrations.

BuildTREND Construction... TREND Investment Group... Trend Consulting Group... The three names sound really similar.  Indeed, the names of Shawn's two registered contractors, BuildTREND and TREND Investment Group, could be confused with Vince's (unregistered) Trend Consulting Group.

Are Shawn and Vince getting back together for new contractor fraud schemes?

What other entities is Shawn using to hide customer funds that aren't being used to complete projects?

It is imperative that everyone file complaints with the PA AG's office. The sheer number of complaints will help this matter get the attention it requires.

  3. One of the deficiencies with Pennsylvania's home improvement contractor registration system is that the Commonwealth seems to depend on each contractor to register truthfully. The real crooks will lie about their backgrounds to get the license or register multiple entities to continue the obfuscation.

    All,

Please do your homework before posting malicious and accusatory information

Check public records for Lawsuit - Trend Consulting Group vs Buildtrend and you'll find public lawsuit records that show Vincent Cottrell and his company were hired as a third part project management support team and are not liable nor affiliated with Buildtrend, Shawn Gerety, or any/all of Shawn Gerety's/Buildtrend's actions or business practices, same can be said for any/all faulty contractors mentioned

Vincent Cottrell and his company were awarded judgement against Shawn Gerety and Buildtrend in Delaware County Pennsylvania Court and are therfore released from any and all liabilities from Shawn Gerety and Buildtrend's projects herein

Vincent Cottrell and his company have gone above and beyond and work diligently through their legal team to support any investigation against Buildtrend as Vincent Cottrell and his company did their best to help all client's projects they were contracted to manage in spite of short comings of the builders they've been contracted by.

Trend Consulting Group is a third party not at risk agency that works to improve construction project management for owners, however when a contractor fails to pay their contractors, or perform quality work/ hold to deadlines the third part agency as aforementioned is powerless to manage projects and therefore must remove themselves from said relationship which is precisely what Vincent Cottrell and Trend Consulting Group has done.

Please Note: Joseph Dougherty of Lyons Dougherty is the law firm representing Vincent Cottrell and Trend Consulting Group

Be aware there is a matter of defamation liability that each party posting speculative information posting false propiganda in order to satisfy personal anger so please make sure you are posting factual information if at all moving forward
