Yet no bankruptcy filing to date. If any readers can confirm definitively, please send info in and we'll post to the blog.

Where has customer money gone if initial payments collected by Shawn for materials to start projects has not gone to work on the jobs?
What other entities and assets has Shawn been using to hide stolen funds from victims whose projects he will never complete?

she looks like she may be 20. What a dirtbag!
ReplyDeleteClaiming bankruptcy is a predictable move from the scum contractor playbook. He's done this at least once before so he probably thinks he can get away with it again.
ReplyDeletewe and other homeowners in this same position received an email from the project manager, jamie wermuth, that the company has filed for bankruptcy. but as you stated, there is apparently no file to date.. also word that him and garvin are still working togther, which also would not surprise me. garvin is STILL trying to keep jobs going by asking for an obscene amount of money up front to get it restarted.. no thank you.. not falling for that again...
ReplyDeleteHave you notified the authorities of this knowledge? Has anyone heard from Jamie - How did you hear about Garvin?
DeleteIt would be interesting to compare dates first customers were told of bankruptcy to dates that BuildTREND has been collecting deposit money and signing contracts from newer customers.
ReplyDeleteTold me he's bankrupt last year
ReplyDeleteThe money went to a new ring for her and a new new. Also a new apt in ocean city. And apparently this is who is handeling his bankruptcy: Barry A. Solodky / Attorney at Law

Oh wow! I was sorry to hear about this as I read it. That's crazy that even though he claims he filed bankruptcy, there is no proof to-date that he did. I experienced this with a contractor, as well, all the way down to the name change. This is so infuriating to read about someone else who is doing this, too!
